So you’ve got the moving to Ecuador bug!  You lie awake at night counting blue-footed boobies instead of sheep!  Maybe the evening news in your country reinforces the idea that a move to Ecuador is the sane thing to do:  housing stock market crashes, bank failures, recession, depression, bailouts, crime, extreme weather--the list of problems is long and getting worse.

If you are thinking, "There has to be a better place to live, a safer, more gentle way of life,"  then maybe moving to Ecuador is the answer!  We invite you to join us for what may be one of the best investments you could make in your or your family's future.

We love trading.  Let us help you trade your high cost of living for one of the lowest in the world.  Trade your stress for peace and tranquility, your freeway gridlock for walks on the beach, and your harsh winters or sweltering summers for the land of eternal spring.

“I've gotta get out of here!
Maybe I should move to Ecuador!”

Ecuador Travel Primavera II

But what to do?  Where to turn?  What do I do first?

For anyone contemplating a move to Ecuador, Pro-Ecuador's Moving to Ecuador: Introductory Course and Real Estate Tour is the perfect way to quickly gain the knowledge needed to make an informed and life-changing decision.

“Wow, here are some people who have done it.  They made the move, they know the ropes, and they want to help me!”

Moving to Ecuador

There's plenty of free information on this website and blog about moving to Ecuador and living in Ecuador.  In addition, our Introductory Course and Real Estate Tour is designed to help you assimilate even more practical information and on-the-ground insights you need to make an informed decision.

We work with a team of experts who can answer your questions if we can't.  You will meet expats who have made the move.  One of the best ways to understand what moving to Ecuador is all about is to talk to the people who have already done it.

These are some of the questions and topics we will cover.
  • Which residency visa is best for me?  How much money will a visa cost?
  • What about health care and insurance?  Can I feel secure that my medical needs will be met?
  • Is the political situation stable?  Do I have to worry about my property rights and personal freedoms?  Is the President of Ecuador really a socialist?  And what is a socialist, anyway?
  • Is the banking system safe?  How do I open an account, transfer money, get a loan?
  • What about jobs and working?  Are there investment opportunities for me in Ecuador?
  • How much will it cost to buy and operate a car?  Do I need one? Can I get a drivers' license?  How?  What about public transportation?
  • Where are the best places to live?  How do I buy Ecuador real estate?  What are the property laws?  How do I find a trustworthy attorney?   If I buy a property, can I rent it out when I’m not here?  Where can I find an architect and builder?
  • How low is the cost of living?  Should I ship my personal belongings or buy in Ecuador?  What are the trade-offs?  Who can help me?  What will it cost?
  • How good is public transportation.  How does it work?  Is it safe?
  • What about the Ecuador culture?  Will my family fit in?  Be accepted into the culture?  Is it safe to live here?

In addition to answering your personal questions, we will show you four of the most desirable expat locations in Ecuador.

For those who want to extend their trip south to Vilcabamba, the Valley of Longevity, we will make arrangements to accommodate your request after either of the extensions.

This Course & Ecuador Real Estate Tour is Tailor-Made to Fit Participants’ Desires

Other tours pack you on a bus and just show you a bunch of properties. Our Introduction to Ecuador Course and Tour will be limited to 12 -14 people, each of whom will be solicited for input to determine the exact type of information that interests them most.

We may even rearrange our itinerary to insure that you get what you want, instead of what we think you "might" be interested in.

Unlike some other Ecuador travel tours, we are in the business of selling real estate. not just showing it.  Therefore, we have a concerted interest to show you properties that meet you needs.  We know the market, we know how to negotiate, and we  aim to please!

When your brain has reached its maximum input for the day, we will whisk you away to balance body, mind and soul with exhilarating hikes, incredible gourmet food, cultural events, and stunning landscapes, while you savor  Ecuador's unique customs and gentle people.

Everything except international airfare, liquor, tips and personal purchases are included in the price of the tour.  Our guarantee? No unwanted surprises.  Who says learning can't be fun?!
Ecuador Beach View

When the tour is over, you will be better equipped to decide if this small country is going to be your new home, or home away from home.  You will have all the tools you need.  The only thing that remains is ACTION!  Prepare for Moving to Ecuador!

Read what one of last year's tour participants had to say:

"My husband and I had been researching Ecuador for over a year as a possible place for retirement.  After all of our research, we choose www.pro-ecuador.com because it provided us with the most information about Ecuador and it really appealed to us...It was a well-organized and coordinated real estate tour...

"We were provided with wonderful accommodations, consumed incredibly fresh and delicious Ecuadorian cuisine, and saw some amazing places through the country. It was beyond our expectations.

"The beauty of the land and the people are hard to explain unless you experience it for yourself.  Pro-Ecuador enhanced our experience and we recommend that if you have never journeyed to Ecuador, or even if you have, Pro-Ecuador will provide you with, we believe, the best over all view of Ecuador and Ecuador real estate.

Gary and Linda are very genuine, warm, caring, fun individuals who will provide you with answers to all your questions, and if they don't know an answer, they will find it out for you."   Cindy and Jim, Phoenix
------------------------------
"I want to tell you how much I enjoyed my trip.  You were both wonderful hosts in Ecuador.  Your knowledge and understanding of the country was a great introduction to this lovely country.  It was a joy to discover all the new things with you and to see it through your eyes.

"Your shared information for properties in the different areas was a good way to get an overview of the situation in Ecuador. I  saw and learned a lot, enough to feel like we are making a good decision to move there and learn more for ourselves."  Kirsten, now living in Cuenca.

Jahaupacha town house development
