Few places on earth are as spiritually powerful, enigmatic and awe-inspiring as Machu Picchu, the lost city reclaimed from the jungle by Hiram Bingham, a North American historian, in 1911. What was once hidden from view for hundreds of years has been wrested from the green arms of the jungle and restored so that seekers can gain entry.

The Urubamba River snakes around the base of the twin peaks of Machu Picchu and the towering summit of Huayna Picchu, with a stone seat at the apex of the mountain. Behind Huayna Picchu are the haunting ruins known as the Temple of the Moon for those adventurous enough to make the steep descent.
The fine dry-stone constructions include the Intihuatana, the Room of Three Windows and the Temple of the Sun. The Intihuatana, or “Hitching Post of the Sun,” is a massive stone altar believed to have been used to tie down the sun when it was positioned directly over the stone on the equinoxes.
My journey to Machu Picchu was the culmination of a long-held dream that began in the ‘80’s when I first heard of these faraway ruins. It was two decades before my dream was realized and I was able to touch the ancient stones.

The power of Machu Picchu is palpable and strong, residing in the stones that carry ancient energies beyond our present abilities to understand. No one knows the true beginnings or purpose of the city of stone seated upon its lofty perch. Research seems to indicate that the site was used as a sacred ceremonial city, built upon by the Incas but also used far before the Incas came.

Through meditation and deep communion it’s possible to receive your own messages and intuitive knowing as to what Machu Picchu represents. Gary and I will share what we have learned after repeated sojourns there and reveal to you some of the little-known places we have found. There is always something new to discover and more dreams to dream in this place of power and magic.
Join us for 11 marvelous days as we travel the storied route from Lima to Cusco, through the Sacred Valley and into the heart of Machu Picchu and the ancient Inca world, then on to Sacred Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world.

The history of Lake Titicaca is shrouded in mystery. It is the glistening center of a cold, silent, other-worldly region. This area is the home of Viracocha, the creator god of the Andean world. Some legends say Viracocha came out of the lake to create mankind. Others say he descended to earth in a golden disc.
The lake’s inhabitants live on floating islands made from reeds. The islands are several feet thick and tethered so they won’t float away.
DAY 01 - 15 APR: Participants fly to Lima, Peru, where we spend the night.
DAY 02 - 16 APR: We fly together to Cusco, legendary Inca city of gold, where we will immediately bus to Pisac, a charming village in the Sacred Valley. The unusual circular man-made pit constructions at Moray are thought to have been experimental agricultural centers in ancient times and a spot popular with UFO’s. Then it’s on to Ollantaytambo, a majestic place of peace and spiritual strength. We’ll tour this fascinating town of rushing canals and ancient ruins. Overnight in Ollantaytambo.
Day 05 - 19 APR: Travelling by train from Ollantaytambo through the scenic jungles to Machu Picchu, we disembark at Aguas Caliente, the village at the base of the mountain, and overnight there. We’ll have plenty of time to explore the steep streets of the village, shop and even soak in the picturesque riverside hot springs.
