Grapefruit Seed Extract
We Never Leave Home Without It!
by Linda McFarlin
Grapefruit seed extract is one of the finest natural
remedies. We always tuck it into our suitcase or overnight
bag when we travel. We absolutely would never think of traveling
anywhere without it because it
seems to be effective for just about
everything that ails us.
So naturally, we brought our trusty bottle with us when moving to
Ecuador. It is a safe, effective, multi-purpose compound with many
uses--safe
enough for pets, the elderly and even babies.
One bottle will last for years. In ten years of traveling we
have only used 1½ bottles shared between the
two of us and
with countless friends or new acquaintances who were suffering from
stomach disorders while traveling.
The taste of this thick, yellowish liquid is bitter and a little
citrusy. I always stir it in well because it tends to settle
to the bottom of the glass of water and gives quite a jolt if you
swallow those last swigs of unstirred and concentrated extract!
The Natural Remedy for
Montezuma’s Revenge!
Using 10-12 drops in a
glass of water several times a day will usually
put an end to everything from stomach and digestive upset, gastric and
intestinal difficulties, diarrhea, gas, food poisoning, parasites,
colds and flu, sore throat, athletes’ foot, rashes, skin
infection and cold sores.
I rub it on my gums or teeth for any kind of oral infection and find it
very quick-acting. It makes a good mouthwash as well. It fights internal and external
infections of all kinds:
bacterial, fungal, and parasitic. It is a natural
detox for the body that increases the effective functioning of the
immune system.
Grapefruit seed extract is relatively inexpensive, non-toxic and has
none of the harmful side effects that pharmaceutical drugs
have. Its anti-oxidant action can also neutralize free
radicals and it helps alkalize the blood.
Almost Too Good to be True
Another remarkable characteristic is that it has never been found to
stimulate any resistant strains of germs in reaction to its active
ingredient.

herpes simplex virus, it is neutralized within ten minutes.
Grapefruit seed extract can be found in most natural food and health
food stores, as well as food coops and Whole Foods
Markets. It
is not readily available in South
America so make sure you buy it before you leave home.
A little goes a long way, so for short trips, you can get by with a small bottle. If you are moving to Ecuador, don’t leave home without it! Get a large bottle and share it with less fortunate friends. They will love you!
