Condos in Ecuador offer a great bargain for the occasional resident who
only wants to vacation in this beautiful country, or for the individual
or family that has decided to make Ecuador their new home.
Here in Cotacachi, which is the leather capitol of Ecuador, a building boom is occurring with several new gated communities in the works.

Thirty-two units in four buildings, with lots of green space and garden areas, yet only five minutes from banks, grocery stores, and shops, make this an urban delight. The development is completely walled and gated with some of the most beautiful gardens in Cotacachi.
This development in Cotacachi gives credence to the claim that Ecuador real estate is one of the best bargains in the world today.
Built by an indigenous builder, Jorge Quilumbaqui, the first building in this development, known as Primavera I, sold out in less than a month. All but one of the buyers were from North America.
Primavera II, consisting of four more condominium buildings has been constructed and is also sold out. Beautiful resale condos are occasionally available.

Quilumbaqui was the builder selected by Michel Duer and Jorge Espinosa to construct their magnificent 10,000 sq. ft. home here in Cotacachi. Michel and Jorge are the creators and owners of La Mirage, a world-reknown 5-star Relais & Châteaux hotel retreat in Cotacachi.
Following that effort, he also built them two fine shops on leather
street, their beach home near Esmeraldas on the coast, and parts of La Mirage
itself. To be
endorsed by these two master hoteliers is the
highest complement a builder could have.
Jorge has also constructed Jardenes de Pichavi, a very private enclave of 7 townhouses and two adobe casitas near Primavera II. Entrance is from Diez de Agosto near San Francisco square and park. A gate opens onto a paved path enclosed on both sides by adobe walls.
The path winds down a slight incline to the two-story townhouses that surround their own large private garden and leads further down stone steps to the two casitas. All the units are sold except for a few townhouses. Several of these units are currently used as rental units because of their popularity, good construction and proximity to Cotacachi central.
